Vicious Vietnam kindergarten teacher pins student, 5, to ground, hits face, forces him to eat oranges – Technologist

A kindergarten teacher in Vietnam has sparked outrage after she sat on a five-year-old boy, held him down and forced him to eat oranges.

The teacher, Lam Thi Bach Nga, who is the owner of Ti Bo Kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City, was caught by the security camera on April 11.

She was filmed hitting the boy before forcing him to eat the fruit by pushing him to the ground and sitting on top of him, the news outlet bodu365.cn reported.

“Seeing my kid being pressed down and beaten up, I felt very sad. I trembled all over when I saw the video clip,” said the boy’s mother, Thanh Hong.

She said her son’s physical health is now stable, but he remains restless and uneasy.

“He often cries in his sleep,” Thanh said.

“The kindergarten’s management once ensured us that teachers here never beat kids. I had never expected that my child would be abused by his teacher,” she said.

The mother said her son would be staying home until he feels better and is able to return to school.

The video also showed the teacher pushing another boy into a corner of the classroom. She slapped his face and hit his head with a plastic object, apparently to punish him for destroying a toy.

The local authority has ordered the kindergarten to suspend its operations after the scandal came to light. It has also suggested parents transfer their children to another nursery.

“We will deal with the case seriously and will definitely not show any lenience,” said Lam Dinh Thang, a local government official.

The teacher tried to offer compensation to the family of the five-year-old boy, but an agreement was not reached, the report said.

It is not clear what punishment she will receive.

Last year, a kindergarten teacher in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam was suspended for slapping a two-year-old boy’s cheeks and forehead 31 times during a lunch break.

Cases of child abuse in nursery schools are also frequently exposed on mainland social media.

In October last year, a kindergarten teacher in northeastern Liaoning province was dismissed from her job for forcing a child to eat his vomit.

A teacher in a nursery in eastern Shandong province was put under administrative detention in 2021 for covering a boy’s mouth with adhesive tape during nap time.

“These teachers are not humans. They should receive severe punishment,” one mainland online observer said.
